Nestled in the rolling landscape of southwestern Iowa’s Loess Hills, Tabor is only a 45 minute drive from the Omaha - Council Bluffs area, and is within 35 minutes of Bellevue, Nebraska and Shenandoah, Iowa.
Although the town’s population is just under 1,000, it boasts a wide variety of businesses including a grocery store, exercise facility, beauty salon, barber shop, family restaurant, two bars, florist, drug store, as well as many others.
What makes Tabor so special, however, is the dedication of its citizens who personify the ideals of small town living in their respect for hard work, spirit of volunteerism, and most of all, the way that they care for one another. People who long for the bygone days when life was less complicated, food was home cooked, and friends and neighbors were one in the same, will find themselves at home here in Tabor, Iowa.
